Timothy R. Placek - Houston, TX - currently serves as Vice President of Regulatory Affairs, Clinical Affairs and Quality Systems at IDev Technologies, Inc.

Prior to joining IDEV, Timothy Placek was Senior Vice President of Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and Quality Systems for MicroMed Cardiovascular, Inc., a Houston, Texas based manufacturer of the DeBakey VAD® implantable ventricular assist device. During his 8 years at MicroMed, he was responsible for the conduct of clinical trials, regulatory submissions and compliance and quality systems management. He served as the company's Management Representative and Official FDA Correspondent.

Before that, Timothy served as President and CEO of DataMatrix, Inc., a Houston-based medical device software development firm; and as Director of Regulatory Affairs at Cardiologic, Inc. in Baltimore, MD, manufacturer of the VestAssist™ external resuscitation and assist device. Mr. Placek also held management positions at GE Medical Lunar Corporation, Orthofix, Inc., and Everest & Jennings, International. Timothy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electronics Engineering from South Dakota State University and Bachelor of Science composite degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from the University of South Dakota.
